Who we are...
Bosom Buddies is a group of spirited women in Canberra and the local ACT Region who have experienced breast cancer personally, or through loved ones. We support each other and help individuals who are newly diagnosed through active support and by providing personal role models for the cancer journey.
Founded in 1995, Bosom Buddies is also actively involved in making a difference within the ACT and surrounding region through advocacy and education.
We visit patients, provide individual buddies for those who want our support and encourage participation in our social events. We also help identify useful resources for information and support.

We have active social programs for our members - because fun is an important part of immediate and long term treatment.
Our successful advocates are active representatives to many organisations focused on breast cancer research, treatment and support in the ACT region.
A team of our members delivers an active Breast Awareness program for schools and organisations.
Other members make useful items to be given to breast cancer patients right after surgery.

Through sponsorships, partnerships and fundraising, we raise community awareness, contribute equipment to the hospitals, help support Canberra's breast care nurses, and support local research and education by other organisations.
